Kiwanis “Happy Together” Rose Float Brings Service to Life at the 2026 Rose Parade

Kiwanis International is proud to present “Happy Together,” its official float for the 2026 Rose Parade, marking the organization’s 44th appearance in this iconic event. Aligned with the parade theme, “The Magic in Teamwork,” the float celebrates family, service, and the power of communities coming together to serve children around the world.

At the heart of the design is a joyful hippo family splashing playfully in a floral pond. A watchful mama hippo looks on as her baby joins its siblings, capturing the warmth of family and the Kiwanis motto “Hungry for Service.” This lighthearted yet meaningful scene reflects Kiwanis’ global mission—serving the children of the world, one community and one act of kindness at a time.

The float’s artistry is brought to life through extraordinary floral detail. The hippos are crafted in soft shades of grey using lettuce seed, strawflower, and fine-cut statice. Surrounding them are bright cattails made of yellow mums and green it leaves, while shimmering water elements feature layered blue iris, white carnations, lavender blooms, and accents of orange and pink roses. Lush textures of springeri, ferns, and parsley flakes complete the vibrant pond setting.

Riding the float this year are Cal-Nev-Hi District Governor Steve Geraci and First Lady Eileen Geraci, both proud members of the Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria. Their leadership and personal involvement played a meaningful role in shaping this year’s hippo theme, adding a special connection between the float’s message and the spirit of Kiwanis service.

Together, “Happy Together” is a joyful reminder that when families, clubs, and communities serve side by side, they create ripples of impact that extend far beyond the parade route—proving that the true magic lies in teamwork.
